Responsibilities
Support the Sr. Director in building and implementing an effective competitive intelligence program, focusing on Elastic's Observability.
Track, analyze, and communicate competitive developments, providing timely and impactful responses to market changes and competitor actions.
Build compelling enablement materials, such as battle-cards, competitor bulletins, and positioning slides, to highlight Elastic's differentiation in the Observability space.
Collaborate on the Win/Loss program efforts, analyzing data to advise sales strategies and product decisions.
Develop a deep understanding of the Observability market, including competitive dynamics and SWOT evaluations.
Provide actionable insights to the sales and solutions engineering teams to improve their competitive positioning.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product management, and sales to craft competitive positioning strategies and influence product roadmap development.
Participate in industry events to monitor trends and keep the organization informed of competitive shifts and market opportunities.

Required
Strong analytical skills to assess competitive strategies and propose effective responses.
Ability to synthesize complex technical information and distill key insights for different stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills-verbal, written, and visual-to effectively share competitive insights and positioning strategies.
Proven success in roles such as sales engineering, technical marketing, or competitive analysis, preferably within the Observability or adjacent industries.
Ability to build relationships and work optimally with teams across the company, including sales, marketing, engineering, and leadership.
Experience translating technical features into compelling business value for diverse audiences.
Preferred
A technical degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
