Responsibilities
Design and implement a comprehensive data architecture strategy that aligns with business goals and leverages AWS services (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda) while incorporating machine learning, AI, and real-time data streaming.
Develop and implement data streaming architectures using AWS services such as Kinesis and Kafka to support high-velocity data ingestion and real-time analytics.
Lead the development and integration of machine learning models and AI solutions using AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Comprehend, Rekognition) to enhance data insights and business processes.
Establish best practices for data governance, data modeling, and data integration, while promoting the use of ML/AI and real-time data processing in decision-making processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business leaders, to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Guide and mentor data engineering teams in the development and optimization of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
Evaluate and implement AWS tools and services to optimize data storage, processing, analytics capabilities, and ML model deployment.
Monitor and optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, particularly in managing high data velocity.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture standards, processes, and procedures, including ML/AI workflows and streaming architectures.
Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture, cloud computing, machine learning, AI, and data streaming.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with a strong focus on cloud solutions, particularly AWS.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using AWS services, including experience with ML, AI, and data streaming tools.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with AWS machine learning services (e.g., SageMaker, Comprehend, Personalize) and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., AWS Kinesis, Apache Kafka) and techniques to manage high-velocity data.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Machine Learning) are a plus.
