Principal Engineer, Mechanical Support Equipment

Responsibilities
Responsible for establishing global standard design for mechanical support equipment (compressors, vacuum systems, boilers, RTO and heat recovery, balers) including equipment specifications, SOPs, maintenance standards, operating parameters, troubleshooting methodologies.
Responsible for maintaining global best practices around relevant equipment operation.
Work closely with Regional Process leads to support best practice discovery, deployment and tracking.
Work with Innovation on transition of relevant technology into Operations, including development of new specifications, operating parameters and necessary standards to deploy globally.
Support Global Spare Parts with necessary recommended spares lists.
Work with procurement to establish total cost of ownership across competitive supplier equipment.
Work closely with Global Sustainability to establish best practice energy consumption targets and support calculation of optimization opportunities.

Required
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7 years of work related experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Support: Plant support equipment operation, training, problem solving, continuous improvement, overhauling.
Mechanical Expertise: Machinery maintenance, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance strategies, utilizing technical documentation effectively.
Data-Driven: Utilizing data to drive decision making.
Optimization: Optimization of energy consumption in compressed air systems.
Knowledge of: Lean Manufacturing.
Knowledge of: Document management systems and change control.
Benefits
This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan, with a EVAIC Target of 15%.
