Responsibilities

Understand the technical disposition of Workday’s enterprise technology environment.

Lead architectural security direction and provide strategic direction aligned to a balanced risk level.

Generate executive-level reporting, collect priority recommendations, and conduct security posture assessments.

Work alongside dedicated and innovative teams to ensure integration of security-focused solutions into all aspects of delivery.

Partner with Information Security’s teams to drive engagement early in project lifecycles.

Required

7+ years relevant application and/or infrastructure security experience, specifically in cloud-based environments

3+ years as an architect or technical leader in the area of Security

Experience with software development and DevOps practices including development languages, tools and frameworks, build pipelines and deployment systems

Experience in agile development processes

Deep knowledge of Security fundamentals including access control, cryptography, vulnerability management, and security architecture practices.

Preferred

Master facilitator driving creative technical decisions while considering conflicting viewpoints

Experience crafting and operating large scale security solutions and to tackle problems through innovation

Consistent track record of acting as an advocate gaining support for security initiatives in the larger organization;

Proven results in working with key partners and executives from engineering organizations to automate and integrate security into their workflows and promote security practices like threat modeling, secure coding/configuration, and security review;

Very strong social skills and a product-focused mentality to build the right solutions for your customers;

Ability to influence senior leadership on technology decisions and critical initiatives.
