Responsibilities

Lead engineers in developing key components for Microsoft Entra services.

Ensure high availability (>99.99%) and reliability for services processing millions of requests per second.

Create clarity on the future state of services, build and grow the team, and oversee detailed technical aspects.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

4+ years people management experience.

Experience in your career history as a hands-on engineer working with distributed systems.

Deep practical experience operating high-scale services in production environments.

Opinions on what great observability looks like, what safe deployments look like and how to troubleshoot and diagnose high-scale systems effectively.

Examples of developing and managing requirements and making data-driven decisions. Experience in trade-off scenarios, prior ownership of a roadmap, and setting goals.

Proven ability to lead and drive consensus on complex topics across leadership, team, and organizational boundaries and to deliver outcomes – the scope of this role is division-wide.

Experience influencing executive leadership and executive stakeholders.

Efficient communications skills, comfortable presenting to large audiences and customers.

Prior experience with performance analysis and optimization of web services and software.

Prior experience building services which run on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Prior experience working in the Identity and/or Security domains.

Prior experience building and managing K8S platform
