Principal Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Ensures that all work is done safely, on time, with high quality results, effective cost management, and in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices
Provides technical support to Corporate Engineer and local operations through the support and execution of capital projects and by being a technical resource
Lead the Continuous Improvement Program for cost savings, energy utilization, and maintenance
Manage new equipment installations using Capital Expenditure procedures
Ensure that corrective actions address root causes and are completed in a timely and customer responsive manner
Leads the plant safety committee
Ensures that facilities are maintained and improved as required, including good housekeeping, general appearance, landscaping, and that routine maintenance is completed as required
Manage any statutory inspections, liaisons with insurance companies and other duties in this area
Direct reporting responsibility for maintenance associates, as well as any contractor firms
Works with Plant Manager to ensure that cGMP, Security systems, infant formula regs and SQF requirements are met. Facility and preventive maintenance standards are consistently met

Required
Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Engineering (ChE or ME preferred)
3-5 years of experience in a similar position
Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively, while utilizing discretion and good judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; demonstrated team player
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with pressured deadlines
Infant Formula or Food manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, follow CGMP's, and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
Will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local standards for the manufacture of infant formula and other non-infant nutritional foods
Preferred
Skill Requirements: Infant Formula or Food manufacturing experience preferred
