Responsibilities

The Principal R&D Engineer will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.

Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.

Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.

Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.

Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.

Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.

Can supervise other team members and own critical roles and responsibilities for the product portfolio.

Required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.

Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.

Experience in C++, object oriented programming, C++11/14 standards, and design patterns;

Experience in the Linux operating system;

Experience with data structures, algorithms, and debugging;

Experience with ASIC power grid simulations for IR drop and electromigration analysis or similar computational/simulation methods in mechanical and fluids domain;

Experience with Python based software development;

Experience with understanding fundamental concepts in electronic design at gate level or transistor level;

Experience with software design and development involving multiple engineers

Preferred

Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting from home office.
