Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement gameplay features and systems in Unreal Engine and C++.

Develop client and server networked gameplay code.

Work with the Production, Design, Art and QA teams to plan, implement and iterate on game concepts and features.

Integrate gameplay systems with other parts of our platform.

Maintain and extend engine code.

Required

A minimum of 7 years in game development and experience developing and maintaining gameplay mechanics and systems in desktop or console games.

A minimum of 7 years programming in C++.

Experience using Unreal Engine.

Experience architecting and implementing game systems, user interfaces, tools, networked features, etc.

Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines such as art, design and engineering.

Effective communication: must be able to explain technical concepts, constraints, and problem solve with non-engineers.

BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or 5+ years industry experience as the degree equivalent.

Preferred

Interest and experience in 3D desktop or console MMOs with RPG elements.

Experience optimizing features to performance targets.

Working understanding of game networking concepts - peer to peer, client/server, latency compensation, etc.
