Responsibilities

Support the manufacturing floor, optimize layouts, improve processes, and create tooling
Work with product transitions and support including layout reviews
Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow
Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and document manufacturing standard work and routings
Plan the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design)

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
