Responsibilities

Responsible for research, development and improvement of existing and newly developed devices & process technologies for manufacture of Silicon Photonics-related devices in a semiconductor wafer foundry.
You process technology development and implementation in a VLSI manufacturing, foundry environment.
You are an expert in Silicon photonic device design, characterization and optimization.
You can participate in and coordinate experiments toward technology development and yield enhancement.
You can work with process engineering team, test team, customers to define goals and manufacturing solutions.
You can design test structures (in CAD environment) and define tests for device characterization (ICCAP, LabView).
You can provide support to resolve customer issues, problems and questions.
You can support transfer from development to production for processes variants.
You can support transfer to worldwide fabrication facilities if needed.

Required

Process technology development and implementation in a VLSI manufacturing, foundry environment.
Expert in Silicon photonic device design, characterization and optimization.
Ability to participate in and coordinate experiments toward technology development and yield enhancement.
Ability to work with process engineering team, test team, customers to define goals and manufacturing solutions.
Ability to design test structures (in CAD environment) and define tests for device characterization (ICCAP, LabView).
Ability to provide support to resolve customer issues, problems and questions.
Ability to support transfer from development to production for processes variants.
Ability to support transfer to worldwide fabrication facilities if needed.
Very strong analytical and people skills.
Expert-level understanding of silicon photonic and optoelectronic devices.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Silicon Photonics-related process and device development or 5-year PhD program in related field.
Specific computer skills desired: experience with optical simulation software (e.g. Lumerical), ability to read and edit mask layout data (e.g. Medici, Sentaurus etc.), experience with semiconductor fab lot management software (e.g. PROMIS or Workstream).
B.S. or M.S. OK, PhD preferred, in engineering discipline: Electrical Eng. Materials Sci & Eng. Physics or related.
