Responsibilities

Scope out projects and establish a design basis.

Create process flow diagrams (PFD’s) and generate material balances.

Create piping and instrumentation diagrams and specify process mechanical equipment and instrumentation.

Interpret plant data and design often with assumptions stated on limited information.

Utilize strong engineering judgment to ensure the process is safe and meets clients’ business needs.

Use and develop internal tools and process engineering software such as AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, or HTRI.

Have familiarity with engineering practices, vendor requirements, and discipline engineering needs across multiple process industries.

Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to succeed at Clayco.

Operations, process start-up, or construction experience is preferred.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college

Successfully passed PE exam

Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry experience

Knowledge of lean processes

Field construction and startup experience

Someone who has passed the PE exam

Operations, process start-up, or construction experience
