Responsibilities
Responsible for the process engineering of complex optical packages.
Drive end to end yield improvements and touch time reduction.
Drive root cause analysis and correction of production failures.
Responsible for optical module mechanical assembly and material handling methods, to include: Work instructions, personnel training, process improvement, FMA, process controls and measurables.
Report production and yield results to production team and management.
Support LEAN manufacturing and Cost Reduction activities.
Responsible for resolving engineering issues for released products.
Be able to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Required
BS or MS in science or engineering required
Manufacturing experience is a plus
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, analytic, detail-oriented, possesses quantitative analysis skills, is self-motivated, a great team member, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient with statistical analysis, experience with JMP a plus.
Experience with Agile and SAP, a plus.
MRSI bonder experience a plus
Pulse laser experience a plus
Solder reflow process experience a plus
CAD skills SolidWorks, AutoCAD is a plus
This position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization.
Direct knowledge of complex electronic sub-assemblies, assembly practices is a plus
