Responsibilities

Working independently or with others to develop improved methods for delivering finished product to customers.

Identifying and driving cost improvement projects to remove costs from operations.

Serving as the primary technical lead for process and equipment improvement projects.

Interacting with customers, Business Unit Leaders, and other Process Engineering functions to assist with process issues and quality concerns.

Staying abreast of new equipment/process developments in the Plastics Extrusion field.

Communicating regularly to share knowledge with process engineers in other locations.

Serving as an expert in troubleshooting manufacturing problems and identifying solutions with data-based decision-making.

Identifying and implementing new/improved methods of manufacturing to improve profitability.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Required.

8-10 years of engineering experience, in a manufacturing environment

Demonstrated flexibility within a high-performance work environment and matrix-managed organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.

Experience with varied manufacturing processes such as extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting.

Knowledge of statistical techniques and tools, their use and interpretation

Requires ability to manage a project and process involving multiple manufacturing areas, plants, and across various portions of the business.

Has demonstrated ability to work independently and focus on critical project parameters that determine success or failure.

Preferred

Knowledge of statistics and DMAIC methodology preferred

Designed experiments, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, or equivalent experience preferred
