Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance in process improvements and engineering studies to support plant productivity, quality, and EHS initiatives.
Lead plant teams to enhance productivity, quality, and reduce costs.
Coordinate activities related to plant permits and safety programs.
Participate in insurance, regulatory, and EHS audits and implement corrective actions.
Adhere to Responsible Care® principles and demonstrate safety leadership.
Participate in plant safety meetings and training programs.
Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager or Technical Manager.

Required
Minimum Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering
3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Outstanding communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Technical problem-solving capabilities
Above-average computer skills
Fundamental belief and demonstrated behaviors that safety & compliance are critical
Participation in plant safety meetings
Completion of safety training programs and other required training
Ability to lead and participate in site and corporate teams
Willingness and capability to lead and/or participate on site teams
Understanding and leading efforts around teamwork structures
Adherence to Responsible Care® principles
Support for safety, compliance, and the overall Responsible Care process
Ability to interact with Corporate Staff groups, hourly plant personnel, and staff
Self-managed
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Ability to multitask
Ability to work with Operations and Technical teams
Ability to provide technical assistance in process improvements
Ability to provide process engineering studies to support plant productivity, quality, and EHS initiatives
Leadership skills to participate in plant teams to improve productivity, quality, and reduce cost
Coordination of activities associated with plant permits and safety programs
Participation in insurance, regulatory, and EHS audits
Implementation and follow-up on corrective action items
Contribution to quality efforts by ensuring safe and efficient plant processes
Development and maintenance of plant procedures to meet quality parameters
Travel up to 5% and oversight for additional facilities
