Responsibilities

Ensure safe and stable operation of manufacturing processes.
Participate in the site's safety program and address process safety concerns.
Lead capacity optimization and waste reduction projects.
Facilitate process trials and lead new product scale-up projects.
Resolve chronic process problems and recommend capital expenditures.
Support audits and ensure compliance.
Lead process start-up, commissioning, and process improvement projects.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related field is required.
A minimum of 3-5 or 7-10 years work related experience in a chemical processing environment.
Troubleshooting skills and root cause – corrective action analysis experience are a must.
Needs to display good interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Ability to read and interpret P&ID and other technical drawings and specifications.

Preferred

Experience with mixing and film coating processes are a plus.
Six Sigma statistical training and Lean manufacturing principles are strongly desired.
