Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance in process improvements and engineering studies to enhance plant productivity, quality, and EHS initiatives.

Lead and participate in plant teams to drive productivity, quality improvements, and cost reduction.

Support site team activities and ensure compliance with safety programs and regulations.

Coordinate plant permits activities and participate in audits to implement corrective actions.

Demonstrate commitment to Responsible Care® principles and lead or participate in site and corporate teams.

Contribute to quality efforts by ensuring safe and efficient plant processes and maintaining procedures to meet quality parameters.

Participate in plant safety meetings, safety training programs, and other required training.

Undertake additional tasks as assigned and be willing to travel up to 5%.

Required

Minimum Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering

3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Preferred

Outstanding communication skills and able to interact with Corporate Staff groups, hourly plant personnel, as well as staff

Understand and lead efforts around teamwork structures

Lead by example

Outstanding organizational skills

Self-managed

Technical problem-solving capabilities

Above-average computer skills

Fundamental belief and demonstrated behaviors that safety & compliance is one of the most critical aspects to the Plant Process Engineer’s role

Safety, compliance, and the overall Responsible Care process is supported by the Plant Process Engineer through demonstrating safety leadership; by participation and example

Other closely related degrees may be considered with appropriate experience

Travel up to 5% and oversight for additional facilities are part of this job function
