Responsibilities

Evaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, pipe materials, and valves.
Evaluation of process mechanical systems to determine the best approaches to solve client challenges
Ability to understand and communicate complex problems and solutions with clients
Planning and design for full-scale treatment systems and treatment plant improvements for construction
Development of facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications
Data analysis and computer modeling
Technical report writing
Bidding and permitting services support
Construction services support
Field inspection of treatment/mechanical equipment

Required

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) license
A minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including planning, evaluations, and design
Educational emphasis and a strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operation
Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Master’s degree in related engineering discipline
10 or more years of direct experience in municipal wastewater treatment or process mechanical for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and conveyance systems experience
Hydraulic modeling skills (e.g. Fathom, Pipe-Flo)
Construction or facility operations experience
Active in relevant professional organizations
Working with and leading project teams and or managing projects
Experience working and communicating directly with clients
Located or willing to relocate near Corvallis, Oregon
