Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing of stainless and nickel-base alloys products, including establishing manufacturing process parameters and assisting with root cause analysis of process failures.
Lead continuous improvement teams related to process problems and improvements, and develop activities to enhance the quality system using methods like 5S, Kaizen, and Lean 6-Sigma.
Review customer and industry specifications to provide product-specific manufacturing processes, and offer technical support to various departments and customers.
Identify, investigate, and implement cost-saving opportunities in the manufacturing process and support functions.
Supervise, assist, and oversee technical aspects of daily routines, lead technical projects, and make dispositions of non-conforming products.
Monitor and analyze processes, assist in writing, reviewing, and revising procedures, and perform internal quality audits.
Collect and report data, and perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.
Follow all company policies and execute all job requirements safely.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes
Knowledge of stainless and nickel-base alloys products manufacturing processes
Experience with root cause analysis of process failures
Ability to review customer and industry specifications and develop manufacturing processes to meet them
Strong technical support skills for Metallurgical Lab, Sales, Manufacturing, and management personnel
Experience in identifying and executing cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes
Ability to supervise and oversee technical aspects of daily routine
Experience in leading and completing technical projects
Knowledge of non-conforming product disposition
Experience in monitoring and analyzing processes and manufacturing process controls
Experience in writing, reviewing, and revising procedures, work instructions, and forms
Ability to perform internal quality audits
Data collection and reporting skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Certifications in Lean 6-Sigma methods
Experience with continuous improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen
Experience in failure analysis of products
Up to 5-10% travel may be required
