Responsibilities

Review incoming warranty claims data, customer and dealership comments, bin claims into proper categories, contact dealerships for diagnoses, participate in customer call back, review returned parts, and develop corrective actions.

Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analyses, and other Quality tasks.

Lead engineering commodity changes for future product launches and cost reduction actions in current vehicles.

Work with Supplier partners to address quality concerns, lead engineering trials, and implement running changes.

Issue engineering Alerts, initiate engineering Concerns for product changes, and engage technical experts for resolution.

Maintain Quality documents, make presentations to upper management, and support Quality, Cost, and waste-avoidance objectives.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Electrical Engineering

2+ years of engineering experience

Experience in engineering problem solving as well as root cause identification and analysis, developing containment actions and permanent corrective actions

Experience with generating documentation to track progress and advance Quality outcomes. e.g. 8Ds, BSAQ projects

Preferred

Electrical Systems Experience

Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support quick decision making

Familiarity with CAD systems

3+ yrs. Automotive Experience
