Responsibilities
Executes all phases of product development from design concepts to release for production
Responsible for developing, documenting, and controlling each project plan from initial design concepts to initial production
Manages new development projects which include schedules, costs, tooling and agency approvals
Performs solid modeling designs to maintain design integrity
Evaluates products for stress analysis, fluid flow, strength of materials, metallurgy, static analysis and elements of machine design for designing products
Plans and budgets entire products development projects from design concepts to initial production
Interprets engineering drawings checking for accuracy, dimensional tolerances and completeness of all design drawings and specification sheets
Attends product repair and/or witness testing at national laboratories of requirements for completing approvals and listings of new and revised product designs
Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Related Field
10 + years Engineering Experience in Mechanical Design and/or Related Field
Preferred
Master's Degree is Preferred
Experience with Sprinkler System and Plumbing Standards and Practices is Preferred
