Responsibilities

Negotiate resources and coordinate efforts with product team members and external consultants to deliver projects according to plan
Provide support during the development process of new products, product changes, and product testing
Collaborate with various teams including product design, project management, product managers, marketing, and clinical
Ensure engineering teams are focused on current and future projects by communicating project expectations effectively
Determine prototype and development capacities and capabilities
Facilitate design reviews with multidisciplinary teams
Oversee product testing, test method writing, data analysis, and conclusions through collaboration with laboratory personnel
Ensure accurate and timely completion of design history documentation

Required

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with medical device experience
Minimum of 3 years managing engineering team activities
Experience with ISO 13485
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Must have good people, analytical, managing and writing skills
Requires attention to detail and ability to deduce requirements for project success and to communicate them to stakeholders
Be comfortable with engaging all levels of management. They are required to provide leadership and motivation to the department and technical guidance the other business units
10% travel may be required
