Responsibilities

Manage in-line collections as well as custom projects through the established product development process

Maintain close communication on product development and new product launches

Facilitate and execute collateral for product launches

Create and maintain quality control standards and work with suppliers to ensure product quality

Interface directly with MAYA Client Services, sales representatives, and clients to create custom design solutions with in-house production and outside suppliers

Assess competitor products and execute competitive analysis reports

Research market trends and source new suppliers both independently as well as at trade shows

Manage standards of products

Manage creation and execution of development binders

Organize and maintain library of supplier samples

Some travel may be required

Adhere to all company procedures and policies

Work on special projects, initiatives, promotions, and other programs as needed at the direction of the Director of Product Development

Represent the company’s best interests at all times

Required

5 years experience in a Product Development management position (high-end interiors market experience a plus)

BA or a BFA degree and 2+ years of work experience in related field

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite. (Experience in AutoCAD and Air Table a plus). Should be comfortable on both Mac and PC platforms

Ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner

Ability to self-organize and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Able to execute and be attentive to administrative/organizational tasks as well as creative tasks

Capacity to work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
