Responsibilities

Support and lead quality engineering processes for successful operation launches.
Ensure customers' quality requirements are understood and met.
Develop an open issue report to record and track all items to closure.
Review advanced quality planning documents, FMEAs, PDS, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, Gage R&R studies, and capability studies to help identify and resolve issues.
Assist the launch team in providing production-level parts for each customer pre-production build.
Prepare and present project progress reports with team members and plant personnel.
Consistently hit deadlines by maintaining project schedules.
Set quality objectives, train employees, and handle corrective and preventive actions for your team.
Ensure that customer quality standards are met throughout projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

2 years of experience in quality/project management or a relevant field.
APQP Core Tools experience developing and maintaining quality documentation including Process Flow diagrams, PFMEA’s, DFMEA’s, Control Plans, APQP checklists, and work instructions.
Previous experience handling customers and suppliers on a management level.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or quality preferred. (In place of a degree, a minimum of 5 years overall experience)
Experience with foundry manufacturing, injection molding, and finishing processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective at tackling problems and taking independent action.
Strong planning and project management skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and maintain a flexible/open mind.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage information flow.
Excellent leadership and teamwork skills to meet all team deadlines and responsibilities.
Aptitude for problem-solving, driving for results, and exercising control.
