Responsibilities

Ownership of assigned product category performance and management of the overall strategy within their respective channel of responsibility.

Develop category and channel expertise to effectively compete in the market, monitor channel needs, trends, and competitive products.

Engage with sales leadership to implement key product strategies, drive compliance to preferred product categories, and participate in customer meetings.

Establish product ownership with internal and external stakeholders and manage market and vendor costs for profitability.

Manage local vendor relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and rationalize product lines when necessary.

Support sourcing requests, share market intelligence, and communicate with Category Management teams for alignment.

Travel 30-40%.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, finance strategy, or closely related field required.

Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in product management, category management and/or procurement is preferred.

Excellent relationship building skills.

Strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Exceptional oral & written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Desire to make profound impact on company's growth trajectory.

Ability to travel (30-40%).

Advanced understanding of Product and Category Management.

The candidate must have strong leadership qualities and a relentless desire to deliver against company objectives.

Preferred

Prior experience in a Category Management or Strategic Sourcing role preferred.

Prior experience within Distribution industry is a plus.

Product knowledge across multiple industries is a plus.
