Responsibilities

Developing best-in-class product plans to support various market verticals, ensuring competitive offerings that meet customer needs

Identifying gaps within product categories and developing strategies to fill them

Introducing products into systems and streamlining the process of product addition and management

Improving product cost and pricing positions within respective markets

Maintaining the public product catalog offering and tailoring it to market-specific catalogs

Establishing a product rationalization strategy to support growth drivers and key initiatives

Identifying opportunities for Fastenal exclusive brand development and expanding brand offerings

Working with Supply Chain and Operations to build out inventory expansion opportunities

Required

Possess or are working towards a degree related to Business, Marketing or Operations OR have industry related work experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service-oriented

Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills

Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Work independently as well as in a team environment

Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

Preferred

Prior work experience with product association, placement, and supplier negotiations
