Responsibilities
Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery and profitability of products.
Incorporate sales forecast, market penetration, and promotional efforts to meet market objectives.
Work with operations and purchasing to ensure product supply based on demand projections.
Develop expertise on products, competitors, market trends, and customer preferences.
Collaborate with sales in developing sales training programs.
Recommend revisions to existing products or new products based on inputs from various departments.
Identify cost reduction opportunities to increase product margins.
Develop plans for introducing and discontinuing products in line with market objectives.
Provide market preference and trends to Product Engineering.
Maintain communications with sales team and sister division counterparts.
Maintain awareness of national and state legislation affecting products.
Analyze customer complaints and forward to relevant departments for response.
Review product performance and recommend product discontinuance or emphasis.
Review engineering change requests to assigned products.
Drive Product Design Teams as they are formed.
Travel approximately 5-20% of the time to customer meetings and suppliers.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing, Engineering/Manufacturing with MBA preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to communicate with people from wide variety of backgrounds and personalities and bring them together to work toward common goal
Experience in marketing and managing products in the Commercial, Industrial, Municipal, Fire and / or Specialty Markets
