Responsibilities

Planning and organizing work efforts, working closely with technology team members and with business owners and leaders
Gathering, elaborating upon, and prioritizing functional and non-functional requirements
Understanding the business needs and use cases for data
Organizing project activities around user stories
Refining user stories with the team to develop a consistent velocity

Required

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst in a data centric environment
Must be very comfortable with agile processes and methods
Solid understanding of agile story estimation using points
Solid understanding of data engineering methods and techniques
Able to write SQL queries to assess data relationships and data quality issues
Professional experience writing user stories for data products
Solid understanding of data product concepts
Able to build and refine user stories aligned to driving a business outcome
Strong business acumen to ask the right questions and document requirements of business stakeholders
Able to break down complex problems and analyze data
Expertise in data analysis techniques using SQL and Excel
Understanding of database concepts
Able to read a relational database model
Understanding of APIs
Proficient in data governance tools and software

Preferred

Working familiarity with cloud ecosystems, GCP preferred
Experience with Jira Cloud strongly preferred
SAP S4 background nice to have
Detail-oriented and analytical
Patience and perseverance
Curiosity and a desire to continually learn and grow
