Responsibilities

Conduct threat modeling and design reviews on Calix cloud platform and related product components

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize potential security risks

Develop and implement security measures to mitigate identified risks

Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies

Participate in the development of security standards, procedures, and reference architectures

Provide guidance and support to engineering teams on security best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or comparable relevant experience

5+ years of experience in product security, with a focus on cloud technologies (to include deployment technologies, ie: Terraform)

Strong understanding of security principles and technologies, including encryption, access control, and network security

Experience with threat modeling and design reviews

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, relationships building skills and experience in managing stakeholders/partners to drive cross functional programs

Ability to work in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment

Preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

Development experience using Python and Go

Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure

Deep understanding of distributed and service-oriented architectures; delivered large scale commercial enterprise software systems

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
