Responsibilities
Lead major product and platform programs with cross-functional core teams.
Lead complex product development activities involving various engineering disciplines.
Deliver programs through feasibility, development, integration, verification, validation, and product launches.
Define program scope, gain cross-functional alignment, and lead activities across different teams.
Establish program vision, direction, and structure to cross-functional core teams.
Communicate strategy, recommendations, and program updates to functional and executive leadership.
Create and maintain a culture of accountability and collaboration within core teams.
Develop and mentor core team members, provide feedback, and aid in performance reviews.

Required
Demonstrated successful leadership of a complex multi-year flagship programs that introduced new technologies, with strong technical leadership, cross-functional leadership, and financial accountability.
Technical expertise across at least one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electrochemistry, bio-sensing, firmware engineering, algorithm engineering in medical device product development or adjacent disciplines. Particularly helpful is experience developing and filing medical devices through MDR and 510(K) regulatory submissions.
Experience with both stage-gate based product development frameworks and software development principles including agile frameworks (Agile Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, DevOps, etc.) is a strong plus.
Experience managing stakeholders inclusive of all technical and leadership levels: working effectively to drive critical program decisions and resolve competing stakeholder interests.
Experience working in the Medical Device industry as well as knowledge of the industry practices, techniques, and standards including a proven ability to both understand and work effectively within a Quality System that is compliant with FDA regulations related to Design Control.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience
