Responsibilities
Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program.
Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis.
Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.
May administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships, and other operations.
Develops, implements, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
May serve as property custodian for the department.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Coordinates with the Assistant Director of exhibitions and operations on the execution of loan agreement contracts and letters of agreement with lenders and venues.
Manages and coordinates planning exhibitions that pertain to the scheduling, tracking, duration, resources, implementation, sequencing, producing installation manual for venues, and constraints related to exhibitions as assigned.
Manages packing and unpacking of artworks.
Manages exhibition design to meet the needs of the artist and curators while maintaining the museum's standard practice.
Facilitates and manages communication and collaboration as the liaison for internal stakeholders and outside organizations, temp install crews, vendors, and contractors to ensure teams are communicating, working together, meeting deadlines, and producing agreed-upon deliverables.
Maintains exhibition archives both physical and virtual along with upkeep of storage area.
Leverages technology including the use of software tools to aid in exhibition project management and execution.
