Responsibilities

Ensure all shifts at Hacienda of Hope are covered by two staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Submit any request for shift or internal program changes under the direction of Program Director

Edit and maintain the Time & Attendance System and comply with payroll deadlines

Monitor billing against target goals and ensure billing deadlines are met

Maintain the database of PRRCH guests and service recipients in collaboration with the Program Director

Conduct performance reviews with assigned staff

Supervise and train assigned program staff in accordance with organizational policy and applicable laws and regulations

Meet with all guests to ensure identified goals are being met and provide updates to the Program Director

Provide hands-on 'life coaching' to support guests with basic skills in activities of daily living

Develop strategies for outreach to guests who isolate themselves

Create and maintain the calendar of community outreach and engagement activities

Document group outcomes and alignment with the 8 Dimensions of Wellness

Contribute to a culturally diverse and sensitive environment

Maintain a positive work environment and spirit of cooperation

Work effectively with staff and guests, attend required trainings and meetings

Conduct follow-up to outreach activities

Organize and maintain resource materials and reference documents

Maintain overall responsibility for program outcomes

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director

Required

Must have a desire to work with individuals impaired by extreme distress / mental illness and believe in an individual’s ability to recover from disabling mental distress

Must verbalize an initial and ongoing understanding of environmental variables that may present while performing administrative tasks and/or providing direct services as an PRPSN employee (i.e., individuals presenting at the agency in extreme emotional states)

Must exhibit good personal judgment, a non-bias attitude, sensitivity, and discretion when dealing with other individuals

Peer Advocate Certificate/Training and demonstrated experience in peer support, peer advocacy or self-help

Obtaining a Peer Specialist certificate within 6 months will be required for any candidate that doesn’t currently have one

Experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative professional relationships

Effective English and speaking, reading and writing communication skills

Must be well-organized and able to explain how

Demonstrated basic computer/word processing skills, including Microsoft office

Class C driver’s license, daily access to a car and proof of valid automobile insurance

Flexible work schedule to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Must know or quickly acquire extensive knowledge of local community resources
