Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the grant process, including research and identifying funding opportunities, drafting proposals, and ensuring timely submission.
Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including reporting, documentation, and funder communications and alignment with organizational priorities.
Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines and ensure efficient workflows.
Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed annual grant funding goals in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
Oversee the administration of the organization’s outbound grants program, including developing application guidelines, reviewing proposals, and managing award distribution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure funding priorities align with organizational objectives.
Monitor the impact of outbound grants and prepare reports to evaluate and communicate program success.
Lead a comprehensive review and overhaul of the organization’s scholarship application, awarding, and reporting processes. Design and implement streamlined systems to ensure transparency, efficiency, and equity.
Collaborate with the CAO to reimagine the scholarship program’s structure, incorporating innovative ideas and best practices to maximize impact.
Manage all phases of the scholarship program, including application development, outreach, review processes, award disbursement, and recipient follow-up.
Collaborate with marketing to build partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to expand scholarship outreach and ensure equitable access for all eligible applicants.
Develop tools and workflows for tracking scholarship applications and outcomes, ensuring accurate and accessible data for reporting and analysis.
Monitor program performance, gather feedback from stakeholders and recipients, and implement iterative improvements to enhance efficiency and impact.
Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and increased reach within the scholarship program.
Collaborate with the CAO to design and implement a comprehensive donor relations strategy that fosters meaningful connections with donors and enhances retention.
Lead efforts to ensure donors are promptly and thoughtfully thanked through personalized communications and public recognition initiatives.
Collaborate with marketing to develop reports, stories, and updates that highlight the tangible impact of donor contributions, deepening engagement and trust.
Assist in planning and executing donor recognition events, site visits, and other engagement opportunities to build relationships.
Collect and analyze donor feedback to continuously refine and improve the donor experience.
Work collaboratively across departments to align donor relations activities with broader organizational goals and communications.
Support the setup, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s CRM system to streamline workflows for grants, scholarships, and donor relations.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and accessibility of data to support decision-making and program execution.
Analyze program performance data and impact metrics to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement. Leverage insights to refine processes and enhance program outcomes.
Work across departments, including finance, marketing, and business units, to ensure cohesive and integrated program implementation.
Collaborate on the development of comprehensive reports that highlight program achievements, trends, and strategic opportunities for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all program activities align with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives under the guidance of the CAO. Contribute to strategic planning efforts to optimize the impact and sustainability of programs.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 or more years of experience in program management, grant administration, fundraising, and/or donor relations, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Demonstrated success in managing grants (inbound and outbound) with measurable outcomes and in developing donor relations or scholarship programs.
Experience in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud) with a strong understanding of workflow optimization for grant, scholarship, and donor management.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, grant management platforms, and reporting software.
Ability to develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed annual grant funding goals.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
Proven ability to redesign and streamline workflows or programs, such as scholarship applications and awarding processes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting grant proposals, donor communications, and impact reports.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
Strong relationship-building skills to foster meaningful connections with donors, grantors, and other stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
Analytical thinker with the ability to leverage data insights to inform strategy and enhance program impact.

Ability to approach program administration with empathy, transparency, and a focus on equity.
Preferred
Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience with implementing or transitioning to a new CRM system, with a focus on optimizing workflows for nonprofit program management.
Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and visualization.
Certification in Grant Writing, Fundraising (e.g., CFRE), or Nonprofit Management.
Previous experience managing grant or scholarship programs in a nonprofit setting, particularly those focused on education, health, or community development.
Familiarity with philanthropic trends and best practices in donor relations and stewardship.
Demonstrated success in launching new initiatives or improving existing programs to achieve greater efficiency, reach, or impact.
Track record of securing significant multi-year grants or funding from major foundations, government entities, or corporate partners.
