Responsibilities
Architecture design and optimization of 5G modem based on various chipsets available in the market (have designed modems multiple times and knows nuances of Physical Layer, L2, L3 and their positioning.
Seasoned with baseband chip architecture and associated processor, associated blocks along with interfaces, including communication algorithms (scalar/vector processors), 5G air interface, RF front end integration and signal processing architecture etc., to meet the future modem requirements.
Select appropriate components, chipsets and design the hardware architecture of the modem.
Develop a high-performance, programmable 5G modem supporting n257, n41, and n78 frequency bands.
Implement network slicing, real-time monitoring, and advanced debugging capabilities.
Ensure the modem supports advanced features like VoNR (Voice over New Radio) and 5G NR.

Required
Master or PhD degree in Communications, Signal Processing, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent
Deep knowledge of digital communication, signal processing and other technologies, solid theoretical foundation
Good knowledge in physical layer specifications of 5G and beyond 5G standards
Fluent in written and spoken English
Develop the software stack for the modem, including baseband processing and network protocols
B.S. Electronics & Telecommunications 15+ years of experience
Preferred
Good C/C++ programming skills
Good Python skills
Skills in ML/AI algorithms and frameworks
Experience with model-based system design and tools (e.g. SystemC)
