Responsibilities
Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain all relevant accounting and project data in the ERP system, ensuring compliance with contract types (such as FFP, T&M, Cost Plus), FAR Clauses, and contract dates.
Invoice Processing: Manage vendor payables by efficiently verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
Sub-Contractor Payments: Process payments to sub-contractors accurately and within the specified timeline.
Financial Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and Job Cost reports.
Billing Coordination: Coordinate with Project Controls to oversee the AP and AR process.
Billing Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile project billings, ensuring all allowable costs are billed promptly.
Invoice Follow-Up: Track and follow up on customer invoices that are over 45 days outstanding, documenting issues and comments in collaboration with the Accounting Manager.
Accounting Records Maintenance: Maintain accounting records in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for assigned projects.
Project Management in ERP: Set up and close out jobs in the Vista ERP system, preparing job-cost reports for Project Managers.
Audit Support: Provide necessary support for audits, including conducting research and project reconciliations.
Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end financial statement preparation and general ledger reconciliations.
Additional Duties: Perform tasks as directed by the Accounting Manager, ensuring flexible and professional interaction with colleagues.
Policy Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and relevant laws.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations as directed by the Accounting Supervisor.
Year-End Audit Support: Support year-end audit requirements through research and reconciliation as needed.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of related accounting experience, ideally in government contracting.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
Understanding bookkeeping, accounting principles, standards, laws, regulations, and standard contract terms applied in billing.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, team worker, prioritize tasks, and complete projects.
Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
Preferably experienced in a remote working environment.
