Responsibilities
Design precision rubber molds for injection, hot transfer, cold transfer, and compression molding.
Review and define customer drawings in collaboration with other team members.
Interface with customers for part and mold designs, and support sales.
Facilitate timely engineering of molds and tooling.
Provide quotations on estimated tooling costs and write purchase orders.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with quality systems.
Utilize Solid Works and AutoCAD for rubber mold design.
Work with Process Technicians to review and revise processes for efficiency.
Operate equipment like presses, OGP system, calipers, micrometers, etc.
Review work orders and procedural manuals to determine design dimensions.
Participate in APQP and Continual Improvement teams, promoting quality standards.
Maintain engineering files and participate in new product development teams.
Collaborate with tooling shops for mold design and build.
Follow up on projects to ensure continual improvement and adherence to schedules.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or working towards a B.S.; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3-yrs experience with rubber and project management
Experienced in tool design and processing of HCR (High Consistency Rubber) and LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) materials
Wasteless / Flashless tool design and processing
Solid Works expertise
AutoCAD experience
Knowledge of GD&T
