Responsibilities

Manages new prototype and production sealing projects for internal combustion engine, transmission, electric/hybrid, fuel cell and other clean energy applications.

Utilizes and complies with APQP, other customer procedures and ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 as it applies to the position.

Manages requests for quotations to ensure timely submission to customers.

Tracks key success indicators (cost, schedule, and performance) for program throughout the Product Lifecycle.

Supports Operations with product and process issues.

Completes planning and capital appropriation requests as well as manages capital spending to budgeted levels.

Coordinates the use of vendor resources to ensure the success of projects.

Supports the Sales and Applications Engineering staff in Corporate office to help land new business and predict the needs of FNST customers.

Visits customers and vendors as required.

Required

B.S. in an engineering or closely related technical degree

5 years’ experience in engineering project management or non-degreed with minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Working knowledge of rubber/plastic injection molding processes preferred

Previous experience in rubber product design with a high level of customer and vendor interaction preferred

Computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing packages and Microsoft Project
