Responsibilities
Prepare work orders for new and existing main installations
Create accurate construction drawings for distribution system changes
Conduct field inspections to understand actual conditions
Represent the company at pre-construction meetings and maintain meeting minutes
Design new distribution systems for customer needs
Review construction plans for conflicts and financial exposure
Oversee transmission and distribution systems, troubleshoot abnormalities, and provide technical advice
Evaluate effects of commercial customers on the system and recommend reinforcements
Design meter sets for commercial customers requiring elevated pressure
Assist in field inspecting and resolving customer complaints
Obtain necessary permits and prepare work orders for installations
Prioritize rehabilitation work with division supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college is required, preferably civil or mechanical
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
Must be detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
Preferred
Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS preferred
