Responsibilities
Working knowledge of the application and basic sizing and selection of equipment related to pneumatic conveying, including air movers, rotary valves and other components, pipeline routing, receiving vessels and filtration.
Demonstrate proficiency in the application, configuration, and basic sizing of equipment used in DeDusting systems, including centrifugal fans, in line filters, cyclones, and Pelletron DeDusters.
Basic knowledge of project documentation including datasheets, specifications, division of responsibilities and vendor document requirements.
Understand the sizing and selection of bulk solids handling equipment such as storage bins and silos, hoppers, gravity flow components and piping, and related physical properties of materials.
A basic knowledge of FEA use and interpretation of solid model requirements and load applications.
A working understanding of the function and operation of controls equipment, including PLC’s, HMI’s, and instrumentation to measure parameters such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, and weight.
A basic understanding of typical control philosophy of DeDusters, Strandphase and Dense phase.
Develop and monitor project costs and equipment delivery versus as sold costs and committed dates to maintain project margins and on time delivery.
Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance including development and execution of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), understanding of material certifications, visual weld inspection requirements, dye penetrant testing process and pressure and leak testing.
Have a working knowledge of the structure of documentation and project files to ensure proper records are maintained for project document transmittals to clients, as well as drawings, calculations, correspondence, quality documents, and final document packages.
Basic understanding of pneumatic conveying systems technology including dense phase conveying, air controls for Strandphase and dense phase as well as silo venting.
Travel as required to customer offices, jobsites, and vendors.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
Min. five (5) years of related experience in the handling of engineered systems projects, ideally with pneumatic conveying, bulk material handling, and/or dust removal systems
Ability to read, interpret, and develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement and plant layout drawings, piping isometric drawings, equipment data sheets, detailed specifications, and other detailed technical documentation
Write effective communications and speak effectively, both one-on-one and in groups with customers, sub-suppliers, and internal stakeholders
MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project); working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solidworks is a plus
Preferred
Chemical plant and/or EPC company experience is a strong plus
Experience with SAP is a plus
