Responsibilities

Work within the Single Digits Operations Project Team to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Design, configure, implement, and document network equipment according to Single Digits Network standards to maximize customer's network and application throughput and performance

Work with other engineers and service team members to improve network design, configuration, and implementation processes

Manage and update HSIA related installation documentation

Lead onsite field technicians and subcontractors to ensure installations are completed on schedule and according to standards

Test and QA implemented networks to ensure optimal functionality

Survey properties for the installation of HSIA Wireless networks

Stay current on new technologies and industry changes

Willingness to travel locally and to customer sites

Work off-hours shifts as needed to support implementations

Be responsive to internal changes in standards and deployment processes

Assist in the development of tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in deployments

Audit inbound design specifications and make recommendations

Assist with execution of tasks and projects as requested

Required

Communicate effectively (verbal, written) with internal & external customers

CCNA

Expert network administration and support skills. Fluent understanding of large network implementations, network protocols, and network topologies

Experience in complex, structured cabling jobs that include interior/exterior installations, terminating and testing Cat5/Cat6 and Fiber Optic cabling

Experience with configuring and installing Routers, Firewalls, Servers, Layer2/3 Ethernet Switches and Wireless Access Points in environments of varying complexity

Excellent networking skills

Excellent in troubleshooting complex problems in various network manufacturer equipment types

Experience with computers and software programs such as email, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD and other Industry recognized applications

Great prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task, while working under tight time constraints

Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Employees must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license

Bachelor's Degree with major course work in computer science, networking, or related major or equivalent combination of formal education, certifications, and work experience.

Minimum 4 years of related experience to include

Experience with configuring, deploying, or supporting wired and wireless networking products from Cisco/Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba or similar;
