Responsibilities

Reviews project specifications, drawings and Design Stress Calculations and performs Thermal and/or Static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to verify designs are adequate per ASME code criteria.

Provides engineering and technical support to both Sales and Project Management.

Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.

Confers with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop suitable product designs.

Attends internal meetings as required.

Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of engineering experience.

Experience interfacing with sales, project execution, design & drafting and manufacturing regarding solution of product problems and translation of customer requirements into product specifications.

Experience with ASME pressure vessel design.

Ability for travel, as required (less than 10%).

Experience using MS Office, Excel, and other normal business software.

Preferred

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2-D), Inventor & 3-D a plus.

Capable of conducting FEA analysis using ANSYS Mechanical Pro.

Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals and adapt to a changing environment.
