Responsibilities

Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop and implement solid waste management projects.
Assist in project planning, design, and execution to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collect, organize, and analyze data relevant to solid waste projects, assisting in the development of technical reports and recommendations.
Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, labor to determine project budgets and feasibility.
Participate in site visits and fieldwork, conducting inspections, and gathering data to support project objectives.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local solid waste regulations, contributing to project adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, respond to inquiries, and support the development of client relationships.
Participation in 40hr HAZWOPER Training and Medical Monitoring Program.

Required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
Five (5) – Ten (10) years of experience in the industry.
Licensed Professional Engineer (NJ, NY and/or PA) or ability to acquire PE through reciprocity.
Keen interest in solid waste management and environmental engineering.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
A passion for contributing to environmentally sustainable solutions.

Preferred

Master of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental, or a related field, from an ABET accredited college of university.
Membership and active participation in professional societies and associations in the solid waste and/or environmental fields.
