Responsibilities

Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Assess security and architecture of business applications as they migrate
Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model
Support architecture and design of cloud solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different business use-cases
Research and evaluate emerging technologies as they become available
Coach and mentor team members and colleagues in horizontal teams

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience scripting/programming (Powershell, Bash/Zsh, Python, Go etc.) or developing cloud native services/applications
Proven experience in securing AWS environments for large organizations
Strong understanding of AWS security features and security architecture principles regarding Amazon’s platform (Well Architected Framework)
Strong understanding of network and security principles and their implementation within AWS – CloudWAN experience is a plus
Recent experience with Palo Alto NGFW technologies, including Prisma Access

Preferred

AWS hands on experience architecting and securing solutions leveraging multiple services within a public cloud provider
Experience using an automated configuration management or infrastructure as code system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, etc.)
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, peering, hub and spoke virtual network design and inter-networking technologies (routing/switching, proxy, firewall, load balancing etc.)
Experience in cyber security and related infrastructure technologies, cloud-based infrastructure, software defined networks
Knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and associated best practices
Preferably AWS Cloud Security Architect certification
