Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy, including venipuncture and capillary collections, following lab protocols.

Conduct Legal Blood Alcohol collections per protocol.

Ensure accurate specimen collection, identification, and handling.

Perform limited CLIA-waived tests and manage lab orders using the lab information system.

Follow EPIC procedures for patient registration/check-in and resolve sample or order issues.

Process and prioritize specimens according to instructions, and prepare specimens for transport.

Perform EKGs, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and spirometry as required.

Maintain a clean work area, stock supplies, and monitor expiration dates.

Assist in training new staff and perform maintenance and checklist duties.

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant

Phlebotomist

Phlebotomy Training

Preferred

ASCP certification preferred.

Graduate of an approved phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program.
