Responsibilities

Provide project oversight for continuous improvement to drive the facility towards success as a low-cost operator producing high-quality products.
Manage large capital projects from conception to completion.
Determine project specifications by studying process design, development of material and energy balances, sizing, and specification of equipment, piping, and valves.
Prepare schedules, resource forecasting, cost estimations, and monitor project progress.
Control project costs, scheduling, and planning by reviewing design, specs, and schedule changes.
Review bids from contractors, challenge vendor performances, and administer contractor service agreements.
Prepare project status reports, analyze information, and recommend actions.
Coordinate and lead the project management team to resolve inter-discipline issues and ensure work quality.
Develop and maintain project management database and plan, oversee redlining drawings.
Lead start-up activities related to new projects and process implementations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing processes and equipment.
Ensure projects are executed per company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering/Project Management is required.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in process, production, or project engineering in a chemical/food manufacturing environment.
Knowledgeable in the use of MS Project and SAP preferred.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including an orientation to team development.
Ability to understand chemical manufacturing processes, interpret, and read blueprints and technical documents.
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects. Technically competent and knowledgeable of electro-mechanical systems, including pneumatics and Distributive Control Systems (DCS).
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Organized with the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
Accountable, confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and self-starter with a high energy level that performs with the highest integrity. Hands-on, field-oriented, with initiative and decision-making skills.
Knowledge and understanding
This is a client direct-hire opportunity; therefore, candidates should be able to commute to the Riceboro, GA. area on a daily basis, or be willing to relocate.
