Responsibilities
Assist the agency’s PR Managers with various client campaigns
Conduct research on client prospects and competitors
Build and maintain comprehensive media lists
Write first drafts of client reports and press releases
Assist with media outreach
Write social media copy
Manage media mention tracking software for resulting media coverage of our clients
Establish/maintain digital file organization
Administer our wire service distributions
Pull together various client reports
Answer phones (via a VOIP system)
Proofreading/copy editing

Required
Minimum of two years working at a public relations agency.
PR professionals who have not worked at an agency need not apply.
Journalists with more than four years experience covering business, insurance or financial services beats looking to make the leap to public relations will also be considered.
Strong consideration will be given to agency PR professionals who have worked in insurance communications or journalists who have covered either/both insurance or financial services beats.
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or communications.
Strong research skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Outstanding writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to quickly learn/master standard public relations industry SaaS products.
Demonstrated proofreading ability.
