Responsibilities
Lead proactive and reactive reputation management: crisis comms as needed, high profile hires/departures, shape high impact/urgent customer communications, etc.
Lead executive communications strategies: thought leadership content creation, speechwriting, comms related social support (LinkedIn), staffing at events/speaking engagements for top execs, etc.
Develop and nurture direct press relationships with top tier outlets, journalists, etc via regular cadence of press outreach, media events/dinners, etc.
Drive external business storytelling strategy around all M&A, fundraising, milestone, IPO, etc comms in leading business outlets.
Develop long-term earned reach strategy and translate into a PR roadmap/playbook for agency to increase velocity and quality of press.
Mine for stories both internally and externally (customers, chefs) and feed to the agency and/or direct press relationships, ensuring proper positioning and inclusion of critical and meaningfully differentiated details.
Support leadership in effectively communicating company strategy, values, principles, and key decisions/announcements to employees.
Support leading regular cadence of employee related communication forums such as Town Halls, In Person Week Events, critical employee Slack channels, etc.
Support comms strategy and execution related to semi-internal audiences unique to our business like Chef Town Halls.

Required
5+ years in public relations, communications or related field.
Experience at premium consumer and/or technology brands or startups.
Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, operating with a bias for action and will to figure things out with minimal oversight.
Strategic thinker with proven success developing communications programs and initiatives.
Storyteller with outstanding communication skills, demonstrating clarity of thought, ability to influence, and adopting appropriate tone of voice.
Good judgement, a knack for diplomacy, experience with communications project management.
Confidence to engage and build consensus with multiple stakeholder and functional leaders at various levels.
Preferred
Experience in hospitality, retail or consumer packaged goods.
Passionate about their craft and hungry to learn and develop in a hyper-growth environment.
