Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to support Marchex's strategic business goals and continue enhancing the company's reputation.

Manage relationships with media, industry analysts, and influencers to secure positive coverage and brand awareness.

Write and distribute press releases, articles, and other content to communicate company news, key innovations, product launches, and other vital messages as needed.

Organize and coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and other PR events, including coverage at tradeshow and customer events.

Support investor relations activities, including supporting earnings announcements, investor presentations, and other financial communications.

Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment to inform PR strategies and identify opportunities for proactive outreach.

Collaborate with internal marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with Marchex’s business objectives.

Leverage knowledge of generative AI and the AI marketplace to effectively communicate Marchex’s innovations, technological advancements, and vertical market expertise.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

5 to 7 years of experience in public relations, preferably within the B2B software industry.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns and securing media coverage.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and deliver clear, concise messages.

Strong media relations skills, including existing relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers within our existing market sector.

Knowledge of financial communications and investor relations practices.

Familiarity with generative AI technologies and their applications in the industry.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform PR strategies and measure success.

Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Experience with crisis communication and reputation management.
