Responsibilities

Accurately prepare complete & timely estimates by reviewing project plans and specifications, evaluating historical data, and coordinating bid reviews.

Establish and coordinate meetings, completion dates, and technical specifications review for project teams.

Coordinate job setup, support in the change order process, and partner with Project Managers and Superintendents on problem resolution and ongoing efficiencies.

Identify new business opportunities, build positive client relationships, and maintain a zero injury culture through active participation in safety programs.

Complete internal administrative organization and documentation pertaining to Estimating function.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, (or related field) or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience

Minimum of five years of estimating experience in construction, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience

Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation

Valid Driver’s License

Current on all company required safety training

Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest

Strong working knowledge of computers and peripheral material including software and equipment for estimating and project management

Good working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, personnel issues and EEO

Thorough knowledge of construction contracts/ law

Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, technology, equipment methods, cost control, schedules, etc. and their impact on project activities

Strong working knowledge of company’s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
