Responsibilities
Support an agile development team as an Automated Tester
Work with the client to understand the strategy and testing automation approach
Create and maintain automated test scenarios following object oriented test design principles
Drive technical direction for solutions and understand the business problem the team is solving
Use QA and Automated Testing tools to test applications
Report and manage defects using a defect-tracking tool
Report and communicate automated testing status

Required
Experience creating and executing test scenarios, analyzing and documenting software defects based on requirements and design specifications.
Ability to interpret business requirements, understand system design, and develop effective test scenarios.
Proficiency in at least one test case management and defect management tool (e.g., Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Quality Center (QC)).
Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and STLC (Software Testing Lifecycle) in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Proficiency in creating SQL queries against databases to validate business scenarios.
5+ years of hands-on experience with industry-standard testing, development, quality assurance methodologies, verification, and validation processes.
5 years of hands-on experience building automation scripts using Selenium, Java, Appium, Cucumber, and Ruby for UI Automation.
Experience with Ruby is required.
Experience in API automation using tools like Postman, Ready API, or similar.
Previous role as Quality Assurance Automation in Agile methodology.
Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and test cycles.
Ability to write effective test cases and scripts.
Experience in gathering, documenting, and testing business and functional requirements.
