Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed test plans and cases.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, results, and defect reports.
Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Execute automated tests using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or other frameworks.
Validate software against user stories and acceptance criteria.
Identify, document, and prioritize defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues efficiently.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to ensure test coverage.
Provide regular status updates and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Participate in reviews of testing processes and suggest enhancements.
Stay updated on emerging QA methodologies and tools to optimize testing efforts.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of QA processes, SDLC, and STLC.
Experience with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or similar.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based testing.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database validation.
Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
Exposure to version control tools like Git.
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
